Black commercial nitrile (NBR) rubber sheeting is a medium-grade material. Nitrile rubber, also known as Buna-N or nitrile butadiene rubber, is an excellent synthetic elastomer for commercial and industrial applications that need seals and gaskets.

NBR material features superior levels of resistance to synthetic and natural oils and greases. It also possesses good resistance to abrasion. This oil-resistant rubber is ideal for use in industrial oil and gas production facilities, commercial petroleum processing plants, and various automotive applications. Custom fabricated NBR rubber sheets up to 40mm thick and 30m long are available upon request.

Superior Oil Resistance: Buna-N sheet rubber sheet is very popular for use in applications that see a regular presence of natural and synthetic oils and greases. Over the years, it has gained a reputation for being the go-to elastomer for any application that involves oils. Whereas other rubber materials can be damaged by oils and greases, nitrile exhibits a durable longevity when put into contact with such substances. As a result, NBR material is perfect for commercial, industrial, and automotive uses.

Flexible Rubber: Our Buna-N rubber sheet has a durometer rating of 45-55. It is a medium grade rating that means the elastomer features more flexibility and elasticity than 70 durometer rubbers. It is not the hardest rubber around, but it does have decent resistance to abrasions. However, its flexibility allows it to be better used as seals, gaskets, and bumpers for a large number of different commercial and industrial applications.

Blended Material: Our nitrile rubber sheet is actually a blend that contains 10% of nitrile and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR). Thanks to the blended materials in this oil-resistant rubber, it brings a good level of all-round resistance to oils and chemicals, which only enhances the considerable strength of nitrile’s resistance to oil. The SBR rubber brings an added level of abrasion resistance and weathering resistance.

The nitrile rubber sheeting is also REACH, RoHS, PAH as well as CE Compliant.
